It's not impossible if you're an intelligent player, simply by virtue of the majority of all players being weak and cowardly. But the restrictions are not fun. An omega character is only worth investing in once your core skills are eve online free to plsy date on an alpha clone. This game has been subscription based forever, it's not a surprise to me that an alpha character would be gated by what they can or can't do, but having an omega character doesn't immediately make you some god.
